Mangaluru: St Anns PU College celebrates Independence Day.

Mangaluru, Aug 15: On the Occasion of 77th Independence day, flag hoisting ceremony was held on the college grounds.
Sergeant Victor Raj Menezes, ex senior Non Commissioned Officer in Indian Air Force was the chief guest, Sr Rose Agnes, asst provincial superior, Sr Maria Sudeepa, secretary, Apostolic Carmel Educational Society, Sr Maria Smitha, joint secretary, St Ann's Institutions, Sr Lydia Fernandes former general councillor for education were the dignitaries present on the occasion.

The guests were welcomed with a guard of honour. The chief guest hoisted the National Flag, the flag song was sung with joy and pride.

A prayer dance was followed by welcome address by the principal. The chief guest in his address urgedthe students to join NDA and serve the Nation.

A short cultural programme enhanced the patriotic spirit. The programme was compered by Nazaf and Fathima. Vote of thanks was proposed by Reshma.
