Mangaluru: Blood donation camp organized at Lourdes Central School

Mangaluru, Aug 14: Lourdes Central School in association with St Francis Xavier Church, Lions Club Millennium and LCS alumni organised blood donation camp as a part of the 25 programmes of silver jubilee year on August 12 at Bejai Church hall.

The camp started with a prayer song sung by the school choir. The principal, Fr Robert D'Souza welcomed the gathering. The blood donation camp was inaugurated by lighting the lamp.

Fr John Baptist Saldanha, the manager congratulated the principal for organising this camp which will help the society in a large scale. He also requested the youth to organise such programmes which benefits the society.

Belita Mascarenhas, vice principal acknowledged the efforts taken by the school and thanked each and every one for supporting and working hard for the success of the programme.

About 150 donors donated blood, which included the staff, parent community, youth of St Francis Xavier Church, and the alumni of Lourdes central school.

Dr Charu Kosla blood bank officer, Fr Mullers Hospital, Ashok Pinto president Lions club millennium, Dr Mrinali Shetty and Dr Vishma PTEC representatives, Sylvia D'Silva  coordinator, youth commission, Sheela, coordinator health commission were present and graced the occasion.

The programme was compered by Linet DSouza, the convener.
