Mangalore: Flower Vendor Cecilia D’Souza (70) Knocked Down by Bus

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Aug 5: A woman named Cecilia D’Souza (70), a resident of Kelroy in Neermarga here, died on Thursday August 4 in the city, after being knocked down by a bus. She was engaged in selling flowers near Krishna Bhavan here.

She lived alone at Neermarga. It is gathered that her only son has been serving as a priest in a church in North India.

Cecilia had visited Hampankatta to buy more flowers, as the stock of flower with her had got exhausted early because of Nagara Panchami. She was returning to her place of business when a bus hit her. She was admitted into a hospital, but breathed her last without responding to treatments, in the evening.

Dear John crasta by saying like this for priests u r violating tha commandment of god. do not take gods name in vain. dont have the right criticize the priests. Word of God says in psalm 105-15 and chronicles 16:22 There u will read donot harm my prophets or donot touch my annointed ones. O.K. Next time please dont write like this o.k.

My heartful condolences to the bereaved family. Meanwhile, at this age she is working as well as staying alone at home, I feel really pity on her. At some special cases, for any congregation, the parents of the priest should be allowed to stay with their son if she/he is in his/her old age as well as nobody is there care of him/her.

Sad to hear this news. Fr. Lancy our heartfelt sympathies to you. This mother has struggled and suffered a lot in her life. She stayed for a few days at our place when she had come to Pune to visit her Son. Her life struggles, what she had narrated to me, are still afresh in my mind. She really took care of my little 2 boys when I was away at work. May her soul rest in peace.

We often come across such news where innocent children & people are being knocked down by ruthless bus drivers. May be its time, we the public get together & see that the law does justice to the people who have lost their lives.
May Cecilia D'Souza's soul rest in peace.

Itis very sad that she is no more. Her son is a very good priest.I know him for the last 20 years.I know him personally and his dedicated missionary work among the poorest of the poor.I know how much he loved his mummy and and how unconsolable he was when he heard the news .Let us not make sweeping remarks. They are very unkind remarks of priests. Let us pray for the bereaved family members.May her soul rest in peace. .

Those who used to toil all along their life, wd continue in his/her vocation even in advance age, howsoever she had sufficient resource to live in rest of his/her life. If energetic, she wd rather prefer to be engaged to pass time. Comment on her sibling living far away is therefore unwarranted, without knowing the real circumstances of her life.
