Beltangady: Eco Club unit of Anugraha High School inaugurated

Beltangady, Aug 8: The Eco Club unit of Anugraha High School was inaugurated on August 5 at Dayalbagh Ashram where the students had the experience of cultivation in the paddy field.

Fr Fredrick Brags, the director of Dayalbagh Ashram inaugurated the Eco Club by handing over the paddy saplings to Fr Vijay Lobo, the principal of the institution and shared the information on cultivation of paddy saplings and guided the students.

The principal, Fr Vijay Lobo said the objective behind this initiative was to give students an exposure to agriculture.

Over 35 students of the high school section have actively participated and took up the task of planting saplings in slushy paddy fields of Dayalbagh.

Gayana of ninth std compered the programme. Sharon of ninth std spoke on the importance of Eco Club. Gowri of class 9 rendered vote of thanks. Hemalatha the Eco Club co-ordinator was present. It was a joyful outing for the students who loved every moment of it.
