Mangaluru, Aug 8: Ruhani Shetty will star in a woman-oriented Kannada movie ‘Phoenix’ directed by Om Prakash Rao.
Phoenix will be a woman-centric movie with a commercial touch where Ruhani will be playing the lead role.
Jagadish, Bhaskar Shetty, Prathap, Pradeep Rawat, Swastik Shankar and Anil Kumar are also playing important role in the movie.
The team plans to shoot the movie in Germany, Austria and Bengaluru.
Ruhani has previously worked in Kannada movie ‘Neuron’ and ‘100’ opposite Ramesh Aravind.
She is waiting for her upcoming release ‘Sugar Factory’ opposite Darling Krishna.
Earlier called as Shilpa Shetty, Ruhani made her Tulu debut with the blockbuster movie ‘Girgit’.
Ruhani had recently changed her name to Shilpa.
