Mangaluru: SJEC AICTE IDEA Lab successfully organizes 'Life skills workshop series-2023'

Mangaluru, Aug 7: SJEC successfully organized its second workshop on 'Life skills workshop series–2023' titled 'Basic Electrical Repair Skills' on July 28 at SJEC AICTE IDEA Lab.

The programme began with a brief introduction of the domain expert, Madhusudan Shetty, proprietor of Manjunath Electrical Works, Kuttar, Thokottu in the presence of Dr Purushothama Chippar, vice-principal and dean (R&D).

Madhusudan Shetty, with a rich expertise of 30 years along with his staff Bharath, provided demonstrations and training for students on working and basic repair skills needed to operate various domestic electrical appliances like ceiling fans, mixer, motors, etc., and information on different wire connections in the switch board. As many as 40 students in total took part in the workshop. Registered students were given the opportunity to participate in a hands-on session for these activities with the assistance of experts in the field.

At the end of the session, participants shared their experience and valuable feedback regarding the workshop and appreciated the efforts put by the institution in coming up with these useful life skills initiative for the students at SJEC.

The domain experts were felicitated with mementos as a token of gratitude for sharing their knowledge to the students. The workshop witnessed the active participation of few teaching and technical staffs of SJEC AICTE IDEA Lab.
