Mangaluru: English Week observed at Lourdes Central School

Mangaluru, Jul 31: English week 2023 was observed from July 17-21  for classes I to XII under the caption 'All the World’s a Stage'– Shakespeare, to foster the talents of students especially in speaking and performing arts. The English Week commenced with a grand inaugural assembly by the students of class XII B. The principal Fr Robert D'Souza inaugurated the week-long event by releasing the center piece that had the English Week Caption and the list of activities flagged for the week.

The entire week witnessed the best performance of students in various activities like elocution, twin role, role play, song composition, news casting, puppet show and walk the talk TV interview. There was hundred percent participation in the activities that were assessed for subject enrichment and the best performance from every section was awarded.

Throughout the week the students of classes VIII, X, XII and V put up various performances like news casting with a twist, puppet show on folk tales of Ladakh, walk the talk TV interview and twin role with fairy tale characters.

The principal Fr Robert D'Souza congratulated and appreciated the students for their active participation in the activities and also lauded the efforts of the teachers in the department of English.
