Mangaluru, Jul 27: The Grade X students of Manipal School, Mangaluru undertook a SEWA project (Social empowerment through work education and action) of planting saplings at the coastal security police station at Tannirbhavi on July 23. The students planted 30 fruit saplings with the support of their teachers and the police personnel.
The tree planting initiative not only added to the green cover around the police station but also raised awareness about the significance of preserving nature for the benefit of future generations.
Besides the tree planting efforts, the coastal security police station took the opportunity to raise awareness against drug abuse among the students. This dual focus on environmental conservation and social issues made the event all the more impactful, leaving a positive impression on the young minds.
The tree planting programme and the collaboration between Manipal school and the coastal security police station at Tannirbhavi was a successful initiative in promoting environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
