Mangaluru: Annual retreat, ‘Revive- Being the light of the world’ held at St Aloysius PU College

Mangaluru, Jul 26: The annual retreat for II PU Catholic students was held on the theme ‘Revive- Being the light of the world’ in the Loyola Hall at St Aloysius PU College.

The principal, Fr Clifford Sequeira SJ, delivered the reflection message. Br Binoy Peters, youth formator at Missionary Families for Christ, and his team led the praise worship.

Fr Clifford Fernandes, parish priest of Cordel, delivered an inspiring message on the theme "God: A companion who accompanies and loves me". This was followed by a session led by Fr Jason on living life to the fullest in Christ and emphasizing the importance of mind, body, and soul.

The retreat was aimed at exploring the depths of human consciousness and examining its effects on our lives. This examination of consciousness was led by Fr Anush D’Cunha, director of Loyola. During the retreat, Fr Vinod Lobo, assistant parish priest of Rosario Church, preached about the role of youth in the family and church.

Fr Lawrence M delivered a talk on Leadership and interiorizing methods, and later he led the students into meditation.

The highlight of the eucharistic celebration was about the importance of the holy spirit. Fr Jason, in his homily, emphasized on the role of the holy spirit in our daily lives through his gifts and fruits. The vote of thanks was proposed by the campus minister, SAPUC, Fr Derrick Anthony SJ.

The retreat provided the students an opportunity to step aside from daily routine and to experience the Word of God with a new perspective.
