Mangaluru, Jul 26: The department of business administration, St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) conducted a business plan contest called 'Ingenious-2023' on July 21, where the participants had to pitch their ideas and business plan to the judges.
The contest was held in Spoorthi Hall 7th floor of AB 3, SJEC. Aman Magwin, CEO of 'Izumi & co' and co-founder of 'Earthblocks India Mangaluru', and Dr Anjali Ganesh, professor at SJEC, Vamanjoor, were the judges of the competition. The event began with a welcome address by Adesh Amin and then the emcee, Mehak Muneera Khader, called out the participants to pick the lots, with 10 teams participating and presenting their business plans to the judges. The participants were chosen at random using the lot numbers.
Participants presented their business plans and the winners were announced after the presentation. Ashel D'Souza proposed a vote of gratitude. Acharya Chitralekha, the faculty co-ordinator, presented the judges with a memento of appreciation. The participants discussed their experiences with the contest. Sinchana B R and Prerana P from the Electronics and Communication department got the first place and Aman Magwin presented them with certificates. The contest's runners-up were Karthik Kadekar and M K Swathi from MBA, and Dr Anjali Ganesh handed up the certificates.
Acharya Chitralekha, faculty co-ordinator, and student co-ordinators Mehak Muneera Khader, Ashel D'Souza, Divya M Hiremath, Disha, Shraddha S Rao, Glen Fernandes, Adesh Amin, and Dhyan Salian managed the event.
