Mangaluru, Jul 24: The general body meeting of the PTA was held at St Mary’s High School Falnir on Saturday, July 22 in the school auditorium.

The meeting began with a prayer song led by the students.

Elsie Tharian former professor and head of the department of psychology, St Agnes College, Mangaluru was the resource person. The resource person was welcomed and introduced by Sr Reshma Cardoza AC The report of the previous meeting and a summary of the executive committee’s activities for the year 2022-23 was read out by the secretary, Sr Spurthi A C. The audited statement of accounts was placed before the general body.

Flavy Misquith and Ina read the names of the highest scorers of Kannada medium and English medium of the SSLC board examinations, March 2022-23.

They were honoured with a trophy and cash prize by the resource person Elsie Tharian and joint secretary Sr Maria Kripa AC respectively followed by key note address on ‘Efective Parenting’. Healthy parent child relationship was highlighted.

The headmistress, Sr Nandika AC thanked the parents for their participation in large numbers and briefed them on the rules and regulations expected from their wards, requested their co-operation in making the year a successful one.

Vipin proposed the vote of thanks, and the entire programme was compeered by Vinutha.
