Mangalore, Jul 30: 'Yuva Sangharsha Andolan' a youth movement was organized by the district unit of BJP Yuva Morcha at Sanghaniketan (local headquarters of RSS) here on Friday July 29 to raise voice against the involvement of UPA government in rampant corruption and demand the retrieval of black money deposited in foreign banks.
However, leaders of state were not present as hectic activities are taking place in the government.
District BJP president Padmanabh Kottari, president of DK district BJP Yuvamorcha Kishore Kumar Puttur, state vice-president of Morcha Dr Y Bharat Shetty, district general secretary Rajesh Shetty, leaders Prathap Sinha Nayak, Vikas among others were present.
Addressing the gathering Prathap Sinha Nayak said that BJP always had the motto of keeping even people at the grassroots level happy right from the days of Shyam Prasad Mukharji who founded the Bharathiya Jana Sangh in 1951, following differences with Pandit Nehru. Stating that rampant corruption in the central government has spoiled the temper of youth in the nation, he said Yuva Sangharsha Andolan would evoke the lost confidence among them.
He also informed that more than 3000 Morcha activists from different parts of the state would be participating in the Yuva Sangharsh Aandolan and Samsath Gherao campaign, which would be held in Ram Lila Maidan in Delhi on August 9 and 100 from DK district will participate.
State president of Morcha and former Karkala MLA V Sunil Kumar who was supposed to be present did not attend the programme. Presidents and office-bearers of eight ‘mandalas’ of the DK district took part.
