Mangaluru: LCS kindergarten celebrates finale of Vanamahotsava week

Mangaluru, Jul 15: Lourdes Central School (LCS) kindergarten celebrated finale of Vanamahotsava week. The programme began with the prayer song led by the KG choir. Malini Menezes was compere of the day welcomed the gathering.

Principal Fr Robert D'Souza, vice principal Belita Mascarenhas, and parents witnessed the programme. The significance of the day was given by Shivaansh Talwar. 

The students of KG 1 and KG 2 gave the message on how to preserve nature by actively involving themselves in action songs, dance drama and role play.

Principal Fr Robert D'Souza had all appreciation for the little ones for their effort and enthusiasm. In his message, he appreciated the parents for their presence, and urged them to take care of their surroundings, so that the children can breathe in the fresh air and have a clean and green world around them.

In connection with the project, colouring and collage activity was held for the students of classes KG1 and KG2. Winners were felicitated by principal Fr Robert D'Souza. The programme concluded with vote of thanks, followed by planting a sapling by staff, students and parents, which indeed gave a true meaning to the project 'Tree is life'.
