Puttur, Jul 15: State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel accused that law and order is gone for toss after the Congress government has assumed power. “In one and half months many murders have taken place. The public has to protect themselves in today’s situation,” he said.
Speaking to reporters at the tourist banglow in the city, Nalin said, “The Jain monk, who sacrificed everything, is killed. An entrepreneur was killed in Bengaluru. Activists who are working for the good of the nation are killed. In Mangaluru, daily wage labourers who arrived from other districts and states are murdered.
“The police department is not listening to the government as huge scams have taken place in transfers of officials. Rate is fixed for each transfer. There is confusion between the chief minister and his deputy. That is why the law and order in the state is in chaos.
“The government is taking the murders lightly. All investigations should be done transparently. Earlier too, when Siddaramaiah government was in power, Hindu workers were killed.
“The government has failed to provide facilities to farmers. The state government has withdrawn the Rs 4000 the farmers were getting through Kisan Samman scheme.
“When Bommai was the chief minister, grant of crores was released for development works. Now the Congress government has stopped all the works. The government is doing hate politics by removing lessons in text books, and attempting to repeal anti-conversion and anti-cow slaughter laws,” he said.
