Mangaluru, Jul 10: Government First Grade College, Kavoor marked a momentous occasion as it celebrated its Annual Day for the academic year 2022-23 on July 10, 2023. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof Rajashekar Hebbar, retired additional director, Department of Collegiate Education, who served as the chief guest. Prof Hebbar emphasized the significance of higher education and encouraged students to adopt a positive attitude towards life.

The function was presided over by principal Dr Shivarama P, who presented the annual report to the gathering. The winners of various competitions were honored, and the highest achievers from different classes were felicitated with merit certificates. In recognition of his exemplary service to the student community, Prof Hebbar was felicitated on this special occasion. The felicitation program was coordinated by Jyothi Shetty.

Furthermore, the college's annual magazine was released during the event. The list of winners was read by Dr Therese Pereira, Dr Geeta M L, Louis Manoj Ambrose, Mohini, and Mamatha U Sanjota and Jyothi were honored as the best outgoing students. The occasion was graced by the presence of members from the College Development Committee, Prakash Rao, and Ramanand Bhandari.

Dr Santhosh Pinto, student welfare officer, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Sanjotha, president of Vidyarthi Parishad, proposed a vote of thanks. Jyothi and her team invoked God's blessings, and the program was skillfully anchored by Chaithrashree.
