Beltangady: PTA annual general meeting held at Holy Redeemer School

Beltangady, Jul 9: The PTA annual general meeting of Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Belthangady was held on July 8 in the school auditorium. A good number of parents were present. The meeting began by invoking god's blessings through a hymn of praise by the students. PTA secretary teacher Anitha presented the annual report. School activities of previous year 2022-2023 was virtually given.

Headmaster Fr Clifford Pinto introduced and welcomed the school's new correspondent Very. Fr Walter D'Mello and the newly appointed staff. The work plans and activities for the current academic year, and basic rules and regulations were compended. Student Luha Mariyam, the school topper in the SSLC Examination 2022-2023 was felicitated. Teaching staff of class 10 were congratulated on securing 100% result in the 2022-2023 SSLC board examination.

Rajesh K, cluster resource person of Guruvayanakere cluster, a drama writer, an actor and a recepient of 'Shikshana Sarathi' and 'Shikshana Jnana Jyothi' awards, was the chief guest and the resource person for the event. He put insights on parents' relationship with their child and teachers. PTA vice president Bonaventure Pinto and joint secretary Wilma Rego were felicitated on completion of their tenure.

New representatives for the PTA for the present year were elected. Correspondent delivered his presidential message on paying attention on the Child's overall, behaviour, disciplinary and educational developments. The meeting was concluded by singing the school anthem. Teachers, Pallavi welcomed the gathering, Elvita Pais introduced the new staff, Blendin Rodrigues introduced the resource person, Lorna Lobo thanked the gathering and Shanthi Pereira compered the programme.
