Mangaluru: PTA general body meeting of St Mary’s English Higher Primary School held

Mangaluru, Jul 8: The PTA general body meeting of St Mary’s English Higher Primary School was held on July 6 in Mother Veronica Hall. The session was held in two groups class 1 to 4 and class 5 to 7.

The meeting began with a prayer song by the students. Dr Preethi Keerthi D’Souza, associate professor, department of commerce, Mangalore University, the resource person was welcomed by Tr Renuka. The PTA vice president Dr A K Jamaluddin welcomed Sr Maisie AC, the new headmistress with a bouquet of flowers and spoke a few words of appreciation. The annual report of PTA 2022-23 was presented by Elizabeth.

Dr A K Jamaluddin was awarded an honorary doctorate award by Asia International Cultural Research University for his tremendous contribution to social service on May 27 at Chennai and Kavitha Ashok, held herself in the Sirsa Padmasana yoga pose a combination of headstand and lotus yoga poses for 29 minutes and 6 seconds, as confirmed on March 23 in India Book of Record both were felicitated for their achievements.

Dr Preethi Keerthi D’Souza addressed the parents and touched upon the topic of positive parenting students. ‘Characteristics of Healthy Parent-child relationship was highlighted’. She spoke to classes 5 to 7 on the topic ‘Life is a beautiful combination of ups and downs'. Sr Maisie AC the headmistress thanked the parents for their presence in spite of the heavy rain and seeked their cooperation by presenting some points for the smooth functioning of the school. Rajini Soans proposed the vote of thanks. The meeting adjourned with the national anthem.
