Mangaluru: Govt First Grade College, Kavoor holds hands-on workshop on filing income tax returns

Mangaluru, Jul 6: The NSS unit, Placement Cell, Commerce and Management Association and IQAC of Government First Grade College, Kavoor jointly organized a hands-on workshop on ‘Filing Income Tax Returns' on Thursday, July 6.

Louis Manoj, asst professor, GFGC Kavoor was the resource person. He gave detailed insight into the Income Tax Portal and all the basic things to be taken care of while filing Income Tax returns.

He spoke about three important documents that needs to be kept handy for filing returns, viz., AIS (Annual Information Summary), TIS (Taxpayers Information Summary) and Form 26AS.

Every minute details were take care of, from who should file which ITR form to previewing the returns and E-Validation of the same.

Dr Geetha M L, HoD of Commerce and Management gave her opening remarks and Megha of II BCom proposed a vote of thanks. In all, around 30 students and 6 teachers benefited from this hands on workshop.

Dr Santhosh Pinto, student welfare officer, Jyothi Shetty, IQAC co-coordinator, Mamatha U, placement cell coordinator, Dr Meghashree, Department of Economics, Suchetha D, Department of History were present.
