Mangaluru: Student Council Inaugurated at Milagres PU College

Mangaluru, Jul 2: The inauguration of the Student Council of Milagres P U College and the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected members of the council for the academic year 2023-24 were held at the college auditorium on June 28.

Fr Michael Santhumayer, campus director was the chief guest. Melwin Vas, the principal of Milagres PU College presided over the function. Anita Lobo and Siggi Perumayen, the co-ordinators of the student council were present during the event.

The student council was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and the student leaders.

Principal Melwin Vas, administered the oath to the newly elected members of the student council.

Fr Michael Santhumayer, in his address, gave a thought-provoking message. He said, “Everyone has equal potential and equal opportunities, explore yourself in service.” He motivated the council members to be perfect role models to others in service and set a hope of service on the newly formed students’ council for the betterment of the college.

Principal, Melwin Vas, in his presidential address, urged the students to develop a spark, curiosity, positive mind-sets, and a spirit of teamwork, which would channel their energies resulting in determined action for the betterment of the institute and society at large.

Priya Shetty compered the programme, Anita Lobo welcomed the gathering, and Ahmed Nisar proposed a vote of thanks.
