Puttur: Mother ends her life after son's accident

Puttur, Jul 2: In a tragic incident reported from Purusharakatte of Indiranagar near here, a woman took her own life due to distress caused by her son's severe injuries sustained in an accident.

The deceased, Kavya (38), was the wife of the late Praveen, who had also committed suicide seven years ago. Kavya, who suffered from mental illness, ended her life at the same location.

Kavya's son, Prateek, was seriously injured in an accident near Bedrala on June 30 and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Mangaluru.

The deceased is survived by a son and a daughter.

    I think it was too much to the widow.First husband died with sucide.Now her son too is seriously injured with accident .When noone is there to help ,she too is sick.Must be having lot of problem lacking money to treat him .must have felt to leave this world.:May her soul rest in peace.God may help her son to treat his accidental injuries.Heartfelt sympathy to family.

    Suicide no solution to life's problems. If she had received good timely counselling, we could avoid suicide. Suicide is no solution to life's problems There is no problem that can't be solved through dialogues>

    B'coz of excessive toxic content in social & mainline media... the people of Hindustan are losing their mental peace & moral courage.. ending up taking harsh actions..., time of Hindu parents to mentor their offspring with the tenets of REAL Hinduism..., the only solution..
