Udupi, Jul 1: A talk on ‘Alcohol and Drug Abuse’ was conducted on June 30, at Trinity Central School. Fr Charles Saldanha, the director of Asha Kiran De-addiction Centre, Herur, Brahmavar was the chief guest for the programme. He has conducted several such talks from which the youth have benefited a lot.

Fr Charles spoke about alcohol and drug usage to the students of Grade 9 and 10. He also enlightened the students on how alcohol and drugs interfere with the brain’s communication pathways, and can affect the way the brain works.

The talk brought awareness about various diseases caused due to the usage of drugs and alcohol.
