Mangaluru: SCS Group of Preschools celebrates Doctor's Day

Mangaluru, Jul 1: SCS Preschool Urwa, SCS Preschool Bikarnakatte and SCS Preschool Padil celebrated Doctor's Day to honour the selfless heroes who work tirelessly to keep mankind healthy and happy.

The doctors spoke to the tiny tots on varied topics including Personal Hygiene, Oral Hygiene and Healthy Eating. The little ones marvelled as they listened to heroes in white.

Principal Vinaya D'Souza said, "It is absolutely necessary to promote a healthy lifestyle among the children right from a tender age. Such events are a good way to ensure children learn that little steps taken today lead to a healthier tomorrow. Doctor's day is also a reminder of the pivotal and irreplaceable role doctors play in our lives."

The institute expressed gratitude to Dr Alka C Bhat, MBBS, DNB (Consultant Pulmonologist at Falnir Chest Clinic & Unity Hospital. Specialist in Allergic Diseases and Asthma), Dr Julie C R Misquith MD Anesthesiology (Associate Professor, KMC, Mangaluru), Dr Govindraj Bhat, MD Anaesthesia, (Associate Professor in department of Anaesthesia, KS Hegde Medical Academy), Dr Geetha Thantri Bachelor of Dentistry (BDS) (Junior Dentist at Smilevision Dental Care, Padil) for taking the time to educate the students.
