Mangaluru: St Aloysius Gonzaga School holds investiture ceremony of student council

Mangaluru, Jun 30: St Aloysius Gonzaga School organised the Investiture ceremony of the student council for the Academic Year 2023-24, on Friday, June 30.

The sashes and badges, representing the authority and responsibility of the student council members, were presented by the dignitaries chief guest V M Joshi, Sr Comdt./CASO, ASG, Mangaluru, principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, and vice principal Laurel D'Souza.

The chief guest V M Joshi, urged the young student leaders to be exemplary individuals, believing in themselves and striving to make a positive impact on others. Following the chief guest's address, principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ delivered a motivational speech, highlighting the three essential aspects of leadership qualities: leading, serving, and setting an example.

The oath-taking ceremony was administered by the principal, wherein the student council members pledged to carry out their roles with integrity and dedication. The head boy, Chinmay Sachidananda of Class X, and head girl, Gianna Melosa Fernandes of Class XII, expressed their gratitude and shared their visions for the upcoming academic year.

The convenors of the programme were Sandhya Manoj, Shilpa R Ballal, Jisha Thomas, and Deepa Karkada. Tanuja Domder compered the programme, Deepa Karkada welcomed the gathering, Shilpa R Ballal proposed a vote of thanks.

The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, reflecting the unity and pride of the school community.
