Mangaluru: Milagres College to hold day-long multilingual national level symposium

Mangaluru, Jun 30: Milagres College, Mangalore Department of Languages, IQAC and MICAA in collaboration with Chair in Christanity, Mangalore University will hold Bhasha Sangam 2023', a day-long Multilingual National level Symposium on 'Language and Religion : Explorations and Interrelations' scheduled to be held in the college auditorium, on July 1.

Bhasha Sangam will be inaugurated by the president of the Symposium Dr Peter Paul Saldanha bishop of Mangalore diocese and president of CBE. The chief guest and keynote address will be delivered by professor Purushothama Bilimale, retd professor, JNU, New Delhi. Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, correspondent, Milagres Educational Institutions, Fr Michael Santhumayor, the principal and campus director, Fr Ivan Dsouza, head, Chair in Christanity, Mangalore University will be present on the Dais.

Technical Session in English, Hindi, Kannada, Latin, Sanskirt, Tulu and Konkani Languages will be held. Dr Ajakkala Girish Bhat, Dr Rudolph R Pinto, Dr Shridhara N Bhatta, Dr Suma T Rodannavara, prof Purushothama Bilimale are the eminent resource persons who will be sharing their esteemed knowledge on the topic of the technical sessions. The valedictory ceremony of Bhasha Sangam will be held at 1:00 PM.

The academicians, research scholars, lecturers, religious leaders, nuns and the students of various Universities of state and outstation are expected to present for the symposium. In a press note the college principal Fr Michael Santhumayor has mentioned that the delegates of this conference will be provided with OOD facility.
