Mangaluru: Student Cabinet Induction ceremony held in Ladyhill Victoria PU College

Mangaluru, Jun 27: The Victorians gathered to mark a new chapter in the annals of Ladyhill Victoria P U College with the inauguration of Student Cabinet for the academic year 2023-24.

As goes the saying, “A good leader knows the way and shows the way”, the College entrusted upon its students special responsibilities to chisel the cherished qualities of the future leaders. The investiture ceremony was held in the school auditorium on June 26. The day witnessed the presence of esteemed chief guest Floric Lobo, former teacher and alumus of Ladyhill Victoria High School, joint secretary of Ladyhill institutions Sister Violet Tauro AC along with the principal, Sister Ujvala A C, faculty and students.

The programme began with a prayer service followed by a grand welcome in the form of dance. Ayishathul Rima, welcomed the audience with her charming smile and the guests were greeted with flowers.The principal administered the oath to all the office bearers to discharge their duties assiduously and earnestly. The newly appointed council members were adorned with sashes from the joint secretary and the badges from the chief guest.

The chief guest congratulated the newly elected council members, staff and students. During her address, she stressed on some principles to the leaders- “Don't judge, instead guide them. Don't criticise, instead correct them. Don't blame others for everything instead, take the responsibility. Don't shout, be polite. Be an example as a leader.”

The ceremony culminated with a vote of thanks from Khadeeja Suhaf followed by the college anthem. Nasheeda hosted the solemn occasion.
