Udupi, Jun 26: The PTA annual general body meeting -2023, of St Cecily’s English Medium Higher Primary School, Udupi was held on Saturday, June 24.

Fr Vinay Kumar, Chikmagalur Diocese, in his address to the parent gathering, gave an insight about the psychology of the growing children, their behavior and the influence of home environment on them. He emphasized the importance of rule of love over rule of law and urged parents to instill in their children the quality of emotional stability which will enable them to muster control over their anxieties or mood swings so that they become tolerant and kind individuals. He also convincingly cleared some queries posed by few parents.

Teacher Cecilia read out the report of the activities of the PTA during 2022-‘23 and Evenish D’Souza presented the financial report of that year. Faculty Vidya announced the new members of the PTA Executive Committee 2023-‘24.

The meeting commenced with a melodious prayer rendered by the school choir. The principal of the school, Sr Lathika AC welcomed the gathering and introduced the guest speaker, Fr Vinay Kumar from Chikmagalur Diocese who is an eminent youth motivator. Sr Therese Jyothi AC, the superior of St Cecily’s Convent, Sr Preethi Crasta AC, the joint secretary and Pragna Nayak, PTA vice president were present on the dais.

After an interactive session, all teachers introduced themselves. Faculty Jennifer emceed the programme and Teena proposed a vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
