Moodbidri, Jun 24: The momentous investiture ceremony was held on June 20 when the school entrusted hope, faith and the mantle of responsibility to the newly appointed school cabinet.
The chief guest Sr Sunitha Monteiro AC joint secretary and superior of Carmel Convent accompanied by other dignitaries, Sr Maria Gracilda the principal, Sr Elena the administrator, Sr Preena the vice principal, Sr Ranitha the coordinator, Tr Manasa, assisted by head boy Shaun Pinto and asst head boy Joswin Lobo were ushered to the dais for igniting the graceful lamp.
The programme started by a solemn prayer service invoking god's blessings on the school and the chosen ones. A genial welcome was done by Roshel and Sanvi Riona. The audience were spellbound and enhanced by the welcome dance performed by the students of grade VI and VII. The oath-taking ceremony to the newly appointed cabinet was administered by Sr Maria Gracilda, the principal.
Looking resplendent in their unique attire each cabinet member pledged to strive to their best towards the scholastic and co-scholastic achievements of the school in the presence of their alma mater. Risha Pereira student of class 8 played the role of alma mater. Happiness knew no bounds when badges and sashes were conferred on the newly elected student council.
The principal Sr Maria Gracilda AC, congratulated the ministers for accepting the assigned responsibilities. A motivational video was presented by conveying the message of team spirit and leadership fitting to the occasion. The principal motivated the students to achieve their goal by performing their duties with full dedication as well as emphasized the significance of setting priorities, thus striving to be an effective leader.
In her presidential address, the ministers were reminded that they are the torchbearers of all the values that the school stands for and urged them to take responsibility with commitment and integrity. Teacher co-ordinators of school cabinet Clara and Manasa were appreciated for training the students.
The programme was compered by students Clarissa D'Costa and Dhriti Shetty. Shaun Pinto delivered the vote of thanks promising that their leadership and teamwork become exemplary to all the students.
