Mumbai Blasts Toll Rises to 22


Mumbai, Jul 23 (IANS): The deaths in July 13 Mumbai serial blasts rose to 22 Saturday with another injured succumbing at Sir J.J. Hospital here, officials said.

According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's Disaster Control Centre, the deceased has been identified as Sundar Singh, 30.

Injured in the blast at Zaveri Bazar, Sundar Singh was admitted to the hospital in a serious condition and breathed his last Saturday.

A total of 131 people were injured in the three blasts at Zaveri Bazar, Opera House and Dadar Kabutarkhana July 13 evening. Some of them were discharged after treatment. Seventeen people died on the spot.

Sundar Singh's death follows that of the critically injured Shirpad Muzappura, 30, who succumbed at Harkisondas Hospital Friday, and Ashok Bhata, 35, who succumbed to his injuries at the Sir J.J. Hospital here Tuesday.

Last Saturday, another injured, Avinash Tanka, 24, had breathed his last at Bombay Hospital, followed by Babulal Das, 45, who passed away in Saifee Hospital Sunday.

    india specially mumb ai has become target of terrorist oganisation we all know but blast occured zaveri bazar were hundreds of camera is installed and there is a huge security and eralier in zaveri bazar 3 time during 1992 bombay blast and many more took place i don't understand what our government is doing are they sleeping???
