Mangaluru: MSNIM observes International Yoga Day 2023

Mangaluru, Jun 21: Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM) observed International Yoga Day on Wednesday, June 21 at the institute campus at Bondel.

Raghuveer Souterpete, coordinator, Yuvanika Foundation, was the chief guest. The guest of honour, Yogarathna Gopalakrishna Delampady, founder, Delampady Yoga Prathistana, Mangaluru, conducted the yoga session. Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy, member and ex-president of the Women’s National Education Society, presided over the programme. Students, faculty members, members of Delampady Yoga Prathistana and United Nations volunteers India participated.

Addressing the gathering, chief guest Raghuveer Souterpete advised the students to practice yoga every day and be strong, as they are the future of our nation. "Cultivate discipline and determination, as these qualities will be of great benefit to you in your future career," he said.

The guest of honour, Yogarathna Gopalakrishna Delampady, explained the benefits of each asana to overcome day-to-day stress on the mind and body. "Yoga is necessary for everyone to maintain a sound mind and a sound body. Even performing the simplest Yogasanas will have a huge impact on maintaining good health," he said.

The institute director, Dr Molly S Chaudhuri, welcomed the gathering. Assistant professor Archana Kamath gave a vote of thanks. Sneha was the master of ceremonies. Assistant professor, Suresh Shenoy coordinated the programme.
