Bantwal: Vishnu Gupta Punacha is President of Taluk Working Journalists’ Association

Bantwal, Jul 21: Vishnu Gupta Punacha, reporter of Kannada daily ‘Prajavani’ at Vittal, was unanimously elected president of the taluk Working Journalists’ Association here on Tuesday July 20.  He was elected during their annual general body meeting held at TP auditorium, B C Road, here.  The Association secretary Ibrahim Adkastala presided over the meeting.

Sukumar Bantwal, reporter of ‘Namma TV’ (secretary), Mounesh Vishwakarma, reporter of ‘Vartabarati’ Kannada daily (treasurer), Suryanarayan Poovala, reporter of ‘Namma Bantwal’ (vice-president), Venkatesh Bantwal, reporter of Kannada daily ‘Hosa Diganta’ (district representative), and Chandrashekar Kelinja of ‘Namma Bantwal’ (joint secretary).

The Association’s former president Sandeep Salian welcomed the gathering. Secretary Kishore Peraje presented the annual report. Vice-president Farouq Goodinabali was also present on the occasion.
