Mangaluru, Jun 6: According to sources, several BJP workers are up against state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel and have appealed to state party leadership not to give him party ticket for next Lok Sabha elections.
Internal friction in BJP began after the legislative assembly elections of Karnataka got over. Many BJP leaders are angry against the party and central leadership for not considering their recommendations and giving tickets as per the wish of the party high command.
Accusations are also heard that Nalin did not work properly during election campaigning. The first accusation against Nalin is that that he is not available to the people of his constituency whenever there is a need. He is also failed to organize the party as the state BJP president.
Another accusation is that Nalin behaves like a dictator and does not care anyone. He wishes that everyone should listen to what he says. Workers are also saying that he has no control over the state BJP though he is the president. It is said that the RSS supports Nalin but party workers do not.
Many party workers also accuse that Nalin has not contributed anything to his constituency though both central and state were ruled by the BJP. Some have said that Nalin could have coordinated with the union and state departments and get the works done faster. But he did not do so. Because of his negligence the Bengaluru-Mangaluru national highway project is limping, say the party workers.
