Mangaluru: ICTIR - 2023 inaugurated at Srinivas Institute of Technology

Mangaluru, Jun 12: The International Conference on Technology for Industry 4.0 Revolution (ICTIR - 2023) organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering took place on June 8-9, at the AC seminar Hall.

The president of the function, Dr Shrinivas Mayya D, principal of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, inaugurated the conference by lighting the lamp on June 8. In his address, he emphasized the importance of the international conference in helping students refine their skills and abilities, indicating the value of such events in fostering their growth.


Prashanth Kannadaguli from Dharini Academy served as the chief guest of the function. In his speech, he urged the students to stay updated with the latest trends in technology, recognizing the significance of being aware of emerging developments in the field.

Dr Soorya Krishna K, the head of the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest, Prashanth Kannadaguli. Gourish S Hegde provided a brief overview of ICTIR-2023, giving attendees a glimpse into the conference's objectives, themes, and significance. Marina Chandy and Sahana Girish served as the masters of ceremony (MCs) for the programme, guiding the proceedings and ensuring the smooth conduct of the event.

The conference featured two keynote addresses. Prashanth Kannadaguli delivered the first keynote address on "The Machine Learning Process." His speech covered the principles, techniques, and applications of machine learning within the context of Industry 4.0. The second keynote address was given by Dr Vivek from the University of Technology and Applied Science in the Sultanate of Oman. He spoke on the topic of "Transforming Distributed Sensor Networks with Compressive Sensing." In total, the conference featured 25 paper presentations from various engineering colleges. These papers likely covered a wide range of topics related to Industry 4.0, including technologies, applications, research findings, and innovative solutions proposed by participants from different institutions.
