Mangaluru, Jun 9: Popular Tulu comedy TV show 'Private Challenge' on Daijiworld TV 24*7 featuring 'Tulunada Manikya' Aravind Bolar and Daijiworld founder Walter Nandalike, is back with its third season. The first episode of the grand new season will be aired on Sunday, June 11 at 9 pm.
‘Private Challenge’ was first started during the lockdown where Daijiworld introduced a new concept to entertain the public. The show, which had created a new trend of comedy with a message among the TV audience of coastal Karnataka, was also viewed by Tuluvas all over the world on YouTube, Facebook and on Localwood OTT platform.
The first season was mostly an in-house or studio set-up where Walter Nandalike presented himself as a TV anchor with humorous questions and Bolar appeared in different characters. He performed 62 characters in 60 episodes of the first season including double roles in some episodes. The second season was shot outdoors where Walter Nandalike and Aravind Bolar played different characters and completed 60 episodes.
Aravind Bolar who has featured in Tulu, Kannada, Malayalam and Konkani movies, has showed versatility in ‘Private Challenge’ with more than 120 characters in two seasons.
Electrical Point, a popular electrical equipment outlet has been the main sponsor for the programme throughout both the seasons.
Kiran Kepu is a senior and key cameraperson for shooting the show. Dayanand Kukkaje, Harish and Manish also assist him. Srikant Somayaji, the senior video editor is in-charge of the editing team.
Few of the episodes of the show have been shot outside the coastal region. The 40th episode of season 2 was shot in a resort and coffee estate at Chikkamagaluru. One episode each was shot in Bangkok, Thailand, Dubai and the UAE.
