Sullia, Jun 6: A man died as wooden logs slipped from a tipper and fell on him. This tragic incident occurred at Sullia Padavu Battangala in Paduvannur village.
Gopalakrishna is the unfortunate victim of this tragedy. Wooden logs of mango trees were being loaded on to a tipper by a crane near the house of Gopalakrishna. He also was working along with other labourers. As the back door of the tipper truck was being fastened, the logs slipped and fell on Gopalakrishna. A seriously injured Gopalakrishna was rushed to hospital but succumbed on the way.
Gopalakrishna was the owner of Shri Shailam shamiyana and also was active in many social activities. He is survived by mother, wife and three children. In a complaint filed with the police, negligence of tipper driver is said to the reason for Gopalakrishna’s death.
