Mangaluru, Jun 3: “The state Congress government should convey to the public the source of income for the implementation of guarantees. White paper needs to be released in this respect,” said president of state BJP Nalin Kumar Kateel.

Nalin further said, “The Congress, which announced the guarantees during election campaigning without any clarity, is implementing the same without clear cut details. We welcome the implementation of the schemes. But proper details of the implementation should be provided.

“In the election manifesto, the Congress assured 10 kg of rice for every individual. The central government is already giving five kg per person. Whether the Congress will give 10 kg in addition to this? Earlier, the BJP government used to give two kg of extra rice. Whether the same will be continued by the Congress government?

“If Congress is giving these guarantees with the forthcoming Lok Sabha, zilla panchayats, taluk panchayats and BBMP elections in mind, then Karnataka will face financial crisis like Sri Lanka and Pakistan,” he said.
