Kadaba: Elephant gores bus, passengers have miraculous escape

Kadaba, Jun 3: A wild elephant gored a KSRTC bus and damaged the vehicle at Anila near Kenjala on Subramanya-Gundya state highway, late night on Thursday.

The KSRTC sleeper bus was moving to Bengaluru via Puttur, Subramanya.

Though the driver tried to evade the wild elephant that was standing on the road side at Anila, the tusker gored the left side of the bus.

Due to the presence of mind, the passengers in the bus, escaped from danger. The bus was badly damaged. Subramanya zonal forest officer Raghavendra visited the spot and further investigation is on.

    The wild elephant is just asking for toll charge in the form of food.Thank God luckily he didn't harm anyone.The king of the jungle has to be obeyed.

    ill effects of deforestation...all good bamboo trees are cut by the forest thieves in khaki...now the elephants have nothing to eat..so quite natural that they venture into human habitation
