Dubai, May 30: Dubai witnessed a dazzling display of talent and culture at the highly anticipated Dubai Dance Cup 2023, organized by Karnataka Sangha Dubai, on May 28 at The Indian Academy School in Al-Qusais.
The event, graced by esteemed guests and renowned personalities, left the audience captivated and inspired.
The event chief guest, Sharmila Mandre, an accomplished actress and movie producer from the Sandalwood industry, added a touch of glamour to the occasion. Her presence enthralled the audience, and her words of encouragement resonated with the aspiring dancers, motivating them to pursue their dreams.
Joining Mandre was the esteemed anchor, Prathiba Gowda from Bengaluru, whose charismatic presence and eloquence captivated the audience throughout the event. Her engaging hosting skills elevated the energy of the dance cup and kept the audience entertained.
The stage was graced by distinguished individuals from the Karnataka Sangha Dubai, Shashidhar Nagarajappa, president of Karnataka Sangha Dubai including Dr B K Yusuf and Harish Bangera the patrons of the organization, Jayanth Shetty, advisor of Karnataka Sangha Dubai, Daya Kirodian, vice president, Manohar Hegde, general secretary, Mallikarjuna Gowda, joint secretary, and Nagaraj Rao Udupi, treasurer. Their unwavering commitment and efforts ensured the success of the Dubai Dance Cup 2023.
Dr B K Yusuf in his patron’s speech remembered the glorious past and expressed his full support to the new committee.
In his presidential speech Shashidhar Nagarajappa thanked the Sangha founders and preceding president Girish Shetty for his support to continues the legacy, Shashidhar further elaborated about the future activities planned for this year and called for the support to the first ever Karnataka Sangha of Dubai. His welcome speech was highlighted for his remarks on the respect and honor Karnataka sangha Dubai gives to all the languages of Karnataka irrespective of regional and religious diversity seen across the home state.
Also present on stage was Sarvottam Shetty, the president of Karnataka Sangha Abu Dhabi, who extended his warm wishes and support to the event, strengthening the bond between the two organizations. Other dignitaries who were honored and appreciated on stage were Reliable fabricators managing director James Mendonca, Mosaico shipping company owner Frank Fernandes, Em Square Engineering Consultants chairman Mohammad Musftafa, WOW Power Yoga’s Ashok Bailuru, News Karnataka’s Valerian Dalmaida, Satish Krishnappa COO Buildmax, Nagesh from Purvankara real estate, Royal Blue group’s Ronald Martiz & the MD of Spraytech Ramachandra Hegde and a various supporters and sponsors.
The event was made possible by the generous support of the title sponsor, "Malabar Gold & Diamonds," represented by Ganesh Naik, whose presence highlighted the strong partnership between the corporate sector and cultural events.
The dance contest was judged by a panel of esteemed individuals, including Shama Rani Shetty, Aishwarya Ravi Chandran, Gautham Bangera and Hitesh Rajani, who had the challenging task of selecting the winners among the exceptional performers. The drawing competition was judged by Susmita Dhruva and Sudeeshan, whose expertise and guidance provided a platform for budding artists to showcase their creativity.
Prasad Coorg, the president of Oman Karnataka Sangha, and renowned producer and actor Dr Sanjay Gowda from Bengaluru extended their best wishes, emphasizing the widespread support and unity among the Karnataka Sangha organizations.
Adding to the charm of the evening, Kavyashree Yuvaraj served as the event's co-anchor, gracefully guiding the audience through the mesmerizing performances and keeping the excitement alive.
In recognition of their outstanding performances, all the winners received certificates, momento, cash prize and gift hampers, encouraging them to continue pursuing their passion and showcasing their talent on grand stages.
The event also featured Art and Crafts Exhibition managed by Mamatha Senthil, which showcased the rich heritage and artistic talents of the participants. Additionally, Children's drawing competition with over 100 participation was well executed by Radhika Satish, which provided a platform for young artists to display their imaginative skills.
Thoughtful and rhythmical music event and over 150 dance participants were well coordinated by Yuvaraj Devadiga and Ravi Kotian, whole event was meticulously planned by Karnataka Sangha Dubai’s executives. Organizers appreciated the support and cooperation by Gulf Geleyaru and Gulf Gelatiyaru.
Karnataka Sangha Dubai’s Executive committee members who took up the core jobs were Lawrence Nazareth, Siddalingesh B R, Sunil Gavaskar and Peter Joyson.
