Basavaraj Bommai accuses Congress of cheating people in the name of guarantees

Bengaluru, May 29: Former chief minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday, May 29, accused the ruling Congress government of cheating people in the name of its 5 poll guarantees.

Addressing the media at the BJP office along with state BJP chief Nalin Kumar Kateel, former minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan and others, he said the Congress leaders promised everything free to everybody during the elections and now after coming to power, they are delaying and different ministers are speaking in different voices.

The Congress chief minister Siddaramaiah, deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar and other ministers had at their first press conference after being sworn in had declared that they have given in-principle approval for all the 5 guarantees and the government order did not speak of any conditionalities. Now, they speak differently.

 

This proves that the Congress promises something and does something else, he said urging the government not to play politics in implementing Central projects.

He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his illustrious leadership and taking the country on the development path. He is a world renowned leader and Modi’s nine-year rule has done wonders for the country.

Earlier, he met and held discussions with Union minister Meenakshi Lekhi at the party office.

    Bommai take nalin and go for a walk to a lonley place and there you both can cry on each other's shoulder. By the time you both return siddaramaiah will have his first cabinet meeting and all guarantees announced by congress will be implemented.     Why so much hurry Mr. Bommai? Finally an oppurtunity to show some action maybe????The Congress government is hardly 15 days old and their first cabinet meeting is due soon. They have already agreed in principle to do this. They BJP manifesto itself was not implemented even after a full term so why so much burning and need to talk even before the first cabinet meet and a month of Congress rule?

    These guys are worried about their position in the party in the future so go on blabbering some rubbish every day. Shah was shouting that if Congress got elected there will be riots in Karnataka but they should realise that people got sick of their communal and vengeance politics on top of 40% commission and Voted Congress with such majority so you guys couldn’t afford to buy such a large number of MLA’s. BJP had an opportunity to give good governance but they lost the opportunity and trying to create problems . Now wait for Lokayuktha raids on illgotten money and other scams.
