Ajman, Jul 15: GMC Hospital, Fujairah run by the Thumbay group received two years accreditation from UK based QHA-Trent.
An accreditation panel from QHA-Trent comprising of Chairman of the Award Panel Dr Tim O’Carrol, Chief Operating Officer Elizabeth Brownhill, handed over the certificate of accreditation to the founder and president of Thumbay group Thumbay Moideen in the presence of director of GMC hospitals Akbar Moideen Thumbay . The Certificate was awarded at the Browns Hotel in the Graham Bell Hall, the hall in which the first ever historic telephone call was made.
The QHA-Trent accreditation is the only whole hospital accreditation based with the UK National Health Services (NHS). It evaluates a vast range of modalities of hospital’s activities and governance, including management, equipment, clinical audit, research, training and education, as well as clinical/medical activities. Two years full accreditation is awarded when the hospital or the service meets or exceeds the requisite criteria.
GMC Hospital has brought about a lot of changes since the beginning of the accreditation process and has excelled in hospital management, delivery of quality healthcare to patients. The standards adopted by the hospital are in par with world standards and spares no effort in maintaining the quality of patient care.
