Bantwal: State Power Lifting Competitions at Panemangalore from Jul 16

Bantwal, Jul 14: Under the joint aegis of Karnataka Power Lifting Association and Netaji Youth Club Deraje Sajipanadu, the state 37th men’s and 29th women’s power lifting competitions will be held at Sumangala Kalyana Mantap, Panemangalore, here from Saturday July 16 to Sunday July 17, said Satish Kumar Kudroli, secretary of Association.

Addressing the media persons at B C Road, here on Wednesday July 13, Satish Kumar Kudroli said that it’s for the first time power lifting competitions will be held in the rural area.  The winners of state, national and international power lifting competitions will participate in the event.  Karnataka power lifting team will be selected in the competitions which will partake in national power lifting competitions scheduled to be held in Bhilai, Chattisgarh from August 20 to August 25, said Satish Kumar Kudroli.

RSS Pramuk Dr K Prabhakar Bhat Kalladka will inaugurate the competitions, here on Saturday.

Town councillor Dinesh Poojary will preside over the inaugural ceremony in the presence of dignitaries.

MLA Ramanat Rai will preside over the concluding ceremony here on Sunday, said Yashawant D, honorary president of Netaji youth Club.

The Association treasurer A Umesh Gatti, organizing secretary Giridar Yadav, Netaji Youth Club president Harish Bangera, former president Suresh Bangera, secretary Dinesh Deraje, members Sacchindra, Jayant and Arun, and others were present at the press meet.
