Sullia: Student killed, classmate injured in car-bike collision

Sullia, May 22: A fatal accident involving a bike and a car occurred on Monday, May 22 in Paladka here, resulting in the death of a biker.

The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Swaroop, a student at KVG Ayurveda College.

Reports suggest that Swaroop was riding a bike and collided with an oncoming car while attempting to overtake. The biker suffered severe injuries and was rushed to Sullia Government Hospital but unfortunately passed away before receiving treatment. Swaroop, along with his fellow student Sambhram, was traveling from Sullia to Sampaje on the bike.

The car involved in the incident was traveling from Peraje to Sullia. Swaroop, a third-year student at KVG Ayurveda College in Chikkaballapur, was pronounced dead at the scene due to the collision in Paladka.

Sambhram, the other rider, sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment at Sullia Government Hospital.

    Can you guys stop telling harsh driving he wasn’t doing harsh driving and I know how. Swaroop never drive so harsh he was always a slow driver. And his friend is the one who was driving and Swaroop was sitting in the back. Swaroop is a topper since young and very disciplined. They were going in the bike to buy their books and this happened. If they would have wore their helmets this would never happen 😔

    In majority of accidents the car involved has KL registration. Do these car with KL pay the motor vehicle tax in Karnataka. There is rule under Karnataka Motor vehicle act, if an outside state registered car is used in Karnataka for more than a month than they are liable to pay tax . Why is it that the Motor veicle department of Dakishna are keeping quite. Probably this is an easy way to collect their monthly hafta

    Why you guys ride your bikes soo rashly ? What is this over take ? Parents lost their gem...Dear parents, majority students do not listen to parents. Dont give them the bikes ....let them work and buy whatever they need ! Om shanthi dear Swaroop....its really sad.
