Bengaluru, May 11: Bengaluru and many parts of Karnataka have experienced rains for the last one week. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rainfall in the next four to five days in various parts of the state.
Parts of south interior Karnataka such as Bengaluru, Bengaluru rural, Kolar, Ramanagara. Mandya, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Tumakuru and Chikkaballapur are likely to experience thunder showers during the next few days.
In coastal Karnataka, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada and Udupi are likely to get light showers and south interior parts are likely to be windy with speed of 30-40 km per hour.
Many parts of Bengaluru are likely to become cloudy and get rainfall towards the evening or night.
In the north interior Karnataka dry spell is likely to continue. However, the IMD has forecast light thunder showers accompanied by winds.
The IMD has announced a yellow alert in districts of Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar and forecast rainfall on Thursday and Friday in these parts.
Koppal, Davanagere, Hubballi received heavy rainfall with winds on Wednesday afternoon.
