Kaup, May 8: Chief minister (CM) of Assam Himant Biswa Sharma campaigned for BJP Kaup candidate Gurme Suresh Shetty in Shirva market area.

Speaking on the occasion, Kaup MLA Lalaji Mendon said, “We have all gathered to support the able leader of Kaup Gurme Suresh Shetty. All voters of Shirva have to support Gurme. He will continue developing the Kaup constituency.”

MLA Raghupati Bhat said, “I am confident seeing the ocean of people gathered here that Gurme is going to win easily. He has already made a name as a philanthropist and in politics also he will make a name.”

Gurme said, “It is a blessing that the Assam CM has come to my constituency. Kaup should be like a garden of flowers. However much the Congress suppresses us, we will rise that much more.”

Assam CM Biswa said, “Modi has contributed several gifts to the country like Ram Mandir and abolition of article 370. We will bring more schemes into implementation.”

Suresh, Srikant, Vijendra, Ratnakar, Shilpa, Uday, eminent leaders of the party and others were present.
