Mangaluru, May 4: Astitva (R) Mangaluru in collaboration with Ranga Adhyayana Kendra and Department of Kannada St Aloysius College, Mangaluru, is organising "May Flower Art Festival" – an international theatre festival for four days in four languages and with five plays. The festival is set to take place at St Aloysius College, Mangaluru.
The festival, which is a treat for all theatre lovers in Mangaluru, will witness theatrical performances in Kannada, English, Konkani, and Malayalam languages. The festival is set to commence on May 5, 2023, and will continue for four days.
On the first day of the festival, May 5, the play 'Kendonians' in Kannada directed by Arunlaal from Kerala, performed by Astitva (R.) Mangaluru will be staged at 3 pm.
On May 6, 'Can't Pay, Won't Pay', a play in English written by Dario Fo and directed by Sweedal D'Souza from Ranga Adhyayana Kendra, St Aloysius College, will be staged at 6.30 pm.
On May 7, 2023, the play 'Sikeram Driver' in Konkani written by Mickmax and directed by Donny Correa from Correa and Team, Dubai, will be staged at 6 pm.
On the last day of May 8, 2023, the play 'Jockey' in Malayalam written by Girish Gramika and directed by Chandran Karuvakode will be staged at 5.30 pm. Additionally, 'Hang-On', a Konkani play directed by Clanwin Fernande's from Ranga Adhyayana Kendra, St Aloysius College, will also be staged at 6.30 pm.
Entry to all the plays is free.
