Mangaluru, May 4: The BJP has announced that it will provide free gas cylinders to BPL families during three major festivals – Ugadi, Ganesh Chaturthi, and Diwali, according to Ex MLC Ganesh Karnik.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, May 4, Karnik said that the BJP's Karnataka poll manifesto promises, which were released on May 1 by BJP National President JP Nadda, also included the execution of the proposed uniform civil code and the establishment of Bengaluru as a "state capital region (SCR) similar to the NCR."
The manifesto also promises to provide 5 kg of rice per month and a free half-liter of Nandini milk every day to BPL families. In addition, free cooking gas cylinders will be given to BPL families during three special occasions each year: Ugadi, Ganesh Chaturthi, and Diwali. The manifesto also promises subsidised "Atal food centres" for the poor.
Karnik also stated that the Amritha Mahotsava will be observed in Karnataka in 2031, and that Karnataka should reach its peak before that. The Prime Minister mentioned the developments that will be carried out in the coming years in his speech at Mulky, which will also be included in the BJP's promises.
Karnik added, "There are a lot of differences between the Congress manifesto in Kannada and English."
