Bantwal, May 3: “People are devastated by the corrupt and communal administration of BJP. They have administered a deadly blow on the working classes due to the constant price rise and anti-labour policies. Defeating the BJP is the priority of the working class. BJP has converted Bantwal as the laboratory of hate politics. CPI(M) will work to defeat BJP which has discarded the questions of livelihood and is stressing on communalism,” said CPI(M) Karnataka state committee member Muneer Katipalla.
Speaking in a news conference at the B C Road Press Club, he said that Dakshina Kannada including Bantwal has faced setbacks under BJP rule. Education and health centres are discarded and opportunities are provided for commercialisation.
“Failure to provide jobs for local youths in large industries that have come up in the district has caused large-scale unemployment. BJP had divided and misled youth in the name of religion. Bantwal has not seen any development in employment, health and education sectors. People of Bantwal should defeat the communal BJP,” he appealed.
Taluk secretary Sunil Kumar Bajal and member Udaya Kumar were present.
