Bantwal, May 1: Former minister and Congress party candidate Ramanath Rai urged voters to teach the BJP, which "sows poison between religions," a lesson during a campaign stop at B C Road Parlia.
Rai accused the BJP of disturbing the peace in Bantwal during Congress rule, and claimed that the BJP wanted to blame Congress for a murder case. However, the accused were traced within four days, revealing the real culprits, he said.
"Contractors have claimed that 40% commission business is underway in the BJP. BJP leaders have said that the chief minister's chair is also for sale. Corruption has spread to the taluk office. As corruption has exceeded limits in the BJP, it should be driven away," said KPCC leader Aswini Kumar Rai, adding that Ramanath Rai is a selfless leader.
Also present at the campaign event were KPCC member Pius L Rodigues, Chandraprakash Shetty, block president Sudeep Kumar Shetty, Baby Kunder, B H Khader, Shahul Hameed, Padmashekar Jain, Lukman Bantwal, Abbas Ali, Chandrashekar Poojary, Pravin Bantwal, P M Rahim, Shabit Siddakatte, Harshad, Chittaranjan Shetty, Ibrahim Kodange, Fakruddin, B Mohan, Mohammed Nandarabettu, Umesh Safalya, B S Abdul Hameed, Mohammed Sagar, and others.
