Mangalore, Jul 7: The Parent Teachers Association of St Francis Xavier Higher Primary School, Moodperar organized a motivational training for its members on the topic 'Role of parents in the healthy growth of children', at the School Hall recently.
The resource person of the event and the Director of Samanvaya Mangalore Dr Ronald Cutinha explained importance of inculcating values in children through stories and Power-Point presentations. Education without values will lead to growth of social evils,he said.
Dr Cutinha stressed that healthy education and wealthy health of children should be the sole priority of parents.
Correspondent of the school Dr Pius Fidelis Pinto presided over. The newly elected office bearers of PTA took charge in the presence of nearly 220 parents during the programme.
Moodperar panchayat president Raphael D’Souza, PTA president Suresh Anchan, management committee vice president William D’Souza, secretary of Parish Council Lancy Cutinha and Robert McCabe of Canada were on the dais.
Precilla Sequeira read the report on school activities. Headmistress Sevrine Crasta informed parents about standing rules and regulations of the school.
