Mangalore: Whale's Carcass Draws Curious Visitors to Tannirbavi

Mangalore, Jun 30: A whale, measuring about 20 feet in length, was found deposited on the seashore by waves at Tannirbavi beach on Thursday June 30.

The rare sight attracted a number of curious visitors.

The body of the whale was partially decomposed, and it is uncertain as to when exactly it was washed ashore or how it met its end.

Arrangements are being made to dispose it off.

    Last month such Whale Carcass was found at Nagore beach near Kiri Manjeshwar, 10 Kilometers from Marvanthe beach.I could go close as there was deep water betwenen the shore & beach. Gods knows why they are dying?
