Mangaluru/Bantwal, April 6: A parade was held on Thursday, April 6, from Rajarajeshwari Vinayaka temple till K S Hegde Hospital, Deralakatte under the leadership of CRPF, Ullal police station, Mangaluru south traffic police station and KSRP Asaigoli in preparation for the Karnataka Assembly elections.
Assistant police commissioner Dhanya Nayak, Ullal station police inspector Sandeep G S, Mangaluru south traffic police station inspector Ramesh Hanapur and CRPF Subedar M P Singh took up the mantle of leadership.
Parade held in Bantwal on NH for election preparedness
Meanwhile in Bantwal, KSRP, CRPF, Bantwal town police station staff and Bantwal rural station police conducted a parade on the national highway here on Thursday, April 6 to inform the public and warn them that no untoward incidents should happen in the taluk and also that the police department is well prepared for the ensuing Assembly elections.
The parade will be held by CRPF police every day. It will be held initially for a week at junctions, said SP Vikram Amte.
SP Vikram Amte, DySP Pratap Singh Thorat, Bantwal town police inspector Vivekananda, rural station police inspector Santhosh Shetty, Bantwal town police station SI Ramakrishna, rural police station SI Udaya Ravi and staff took part in the parade.
The march was held from National Highway, Kaikamba to Talapady via B C Road junction, Kelagina Pete, Bantwal Baddakatte, Kadegoli, Farangipete, Kodman with D A R band. Various platoons of police participated in the parade.
